Stand Up 2 Cancer. 10 years of impact
Last night I was blessed to be able to attend the Stand Up 2 Cancer live telecast. This fund raising event happens every other year and the last time it happened I had just had surgery that day and was in bed recovering. I thought it was my last surgery. I had started my journey one year before that day and thought that was my last surgery in 4 but 9 days later a hematoma broke loose and I ended up in emergency surgery. I had already done the SU2C PSA with Morgan Freeman and already felt so lucky to get to be a part of the SU2C mission.
Last night was amazing and to see first hand the impact that Stand Up has had over the past 10 years is incredible. They really have made an incredible difference in the way cancer is treated and giving cancer patients a fighting chance to become long term survivors. I Stand Up for all of my Survivor Sisters, my Mommy's With Cancer, my Beautycounter and Stella & Dot friend, my family who have had to fight the fight. I want to show them the Mountain can be moved. It's not easy but it's worth it.
